Where you stand, and whether it is moving

Being mentioned in four answers out of ten means one thing if your closest competitor is in nine and another if they are in two. Share of voice puts your mention rate next to theirs across the same question set, and the breakdowns split it by engine and by topic — because being strong in ChatGPT and absent from Perplexity is a different problem from being thin everywhere.

Each run is compared with the last, so a change you shipped shows up as movement or it does not. Movement inside the sample’s noise is labelled as noise rather than reported as a win, and we would rather tell you a week was flat than draw a line through two points and call it a trend.
